GENERAL INFORMATION ON 70’S ALBUMS
Below are described the different ways that you can order the Chuck Girard and Love Song classic albums from the '70s. These are unofficial unadvertised releases created strictly for the love of the music. They are not offered at concerts, in book stores or by any other way than by request through the ministry. Do not try to buy them any other way, they are not available.
Most of these albums were mastered straight from vinyl to CD. Various noise reduction software was used to try to eliminate surface noise, but were deemed unacceptable, as the process seemed to blanket the overall quality of the sound. Finally, the direct transfers from vinyl were judged to be the best sounding. It was decided that the trade off of some surface noise, occasional sizzling sibilance and other minor annoyances were preferable to the muffled sound of the noise reduction. "Written On The Wind" however, did seem to be improved by use of minimal noise reduction.
All masters were created from brand new never before played vinyl copies. Some sounded better than others as different quality vinyl was used in the production of the originals. Differences in surface noise are attributable directly to this factor. All CDs are recorded on professional audio quality blanks.
The album "Chuck Girard" was the only title officially released on CD, and this title is presently officially out-of-print. These copies are made from original master tapes. All other albums are from vinyl source.
The titles are offered in several formats and price ranges:
You may purchase any album singly, which will come with front and back cover art, but no text. ("Text" refers to liner notes, other printed matter that would come with a production CD)
You can purchase any Chuck Girard album in "Collector's Series", which include bonus cuts, no text. The bonus cuts are listed in "Contents".
You may also purchase any two the following titles on one CD without text* for a discount price: "Chuck Girard", "Glow In The Dark", "Written On The Wind", "Take It Easy", or "The Stand". The other titles are too long to fit 2 on one CD, so these are the only ones offered two on one CD. This format includes a copy of the 2 front covers only.

Also offered are LOVE SONG titles, which are made from CDs remastered from original master tapes, as these titles were officially released, but are now out of print. "Love Song" and "Final Touch" can be purchased together on a single CD.

The Album "All Those Years" is a compilation of songs from other albums. Because the cuts on this album consist of songs from all 5 albums, the ones from the album "Chuck Girard" are from original tapes, but the other songs are from vinyl. A quality difference is evident between the cuts, but mainly in the area of surface noise.
